This Marriott is newly decorated and has an elegant spacious bar, Marre Allen, with plenty of seating. This elegant area would be great for our Friday night socials. The Bar features small plates such as Corn Crusted Oysters, Benton’s Ham Sliders, and a cheese board with grilled flatbread, almonds, and three cheeses. Plate prices ranges from $$9.00 to $14.00, and might be dinner. They have a bar with various selections of wines, averaging $7 to $14 a glass. There is a wide choice of beers by the bottle and on draft averaging $5.50 to $8.00 depending on your selection. They also have premium cocktails that look interesting. These are $12-$14 each. Dinner is available by checking with reception. In December and January we have some new and interesting locations for you to visit at our Friday Night Social. I had the help of Brenda Siragusa, Elizabeth McElroy, and Cindee Holladay in selecting these places. We visited all of these new place to taste their wares. I know it was a sacrifice for them (Ha) but they hung in there with me until we had seen and sampled some of the food and drink at all of these places. We hope that you will enjoy them as we did. At some point in future we will survey the club to see which should remain on our list and if some might need to go to second string.
